Neutral Fall Decorating Ideas And Inspiration

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” —Leonardo Da Vinci

Fall 2021 is all about a neutral color palette consisting of rust, tan, cream, white, navy blue, soft blue, and grey, and textured accessories creating a cozy farmhouse aura.

If you love earth tones and velvety textures, then fall 2021 is definitely for you.

In order to achieve a more modern fall aesthetic below are a few items that you might want to incorporate to get that look:

  • a rustic vase in brown or taupe
  • a woven striped square throw pillow
  • artificial berry plant
  • woven storage baskets
  • framed wall art (nature-inspired)
  • smoked glass vase
  • plush velvety throw in navy, dark forest green, or brown
  • fall wreath (green or rust)

Decor Tips:

Modern neutral fall interiors consist of using white or pale pumpkins, items from nature (twigs/branches), cozy pillows and throws, art objects that are white or grey, curved chairs, and vintage-inspired textiles.

If you are on a tight budget, use what you have on hand that is muted in color and splurge on one special piece.  Feel free to mix patterns, and remember details make the difference.  See below:

How To Master The Look of French Country In Your Home

French Country decor is elegant, yet casual and comfortable.  It is warm and inviting with its colorful tones no dark colors are found in this esthetic.  Basically, you will want to incorporate yellows, blues, greens and a touch of red when adding accessories.  When shopping for this look,  purchase folk art farm animals such as roosters and rabbits, black scroll ironwork (e.g. candlesticks), a farm table, toile patterned kitchen curtains, large blue and white porcelain plates and of course,  a chandelier preferably vintage.

Here are a few examples of the French Country Style:
