How To Decorate Your Dining Room Hutch For The Spring Season and Easter

“The promise of spring’s arrival is enough to get anyone through the bitter winter!”

Now is the perfect time to do some decorating for spring if you are working from home and have a few hours to kill during the day.  If you have a dining room hutch or just a cabinet sitting there looking drab why not decorate it with spring aesthetics.  Even though things may not be normal right now, we can certainly find joy in the things that we love.

Here are a few ideas to decorate your cabinet hutch for the spring season as well as Easter::

Firstly, gather all your decorating items together in one spot and lay them out on the dining room table so you know what you have to work with.

Here are a few decor pieces that you will want to have to start decorating:
  1. Large decorative pastel plates to be used as the anchor piece to support the other items.
  2. Stack of plates and bowls
  3. Topiaries
  4. Garden Balls - big and small
  5. Garden Pots
  6. Large Easter Bunnies
  7. Rustic candle holders
  8. Spring Signage
  9. Greenery and spring foliage
Place the garden ball on top of the pot and place it in the middle of the hutch. Then add in some spring florals (lavender or whatever you have on hand) right beside the garden ball.  Next to that place a bunny to create a cute vignette.  Then over on the other side of the hutch place a large plate at the back of the hutch and layer with another smaller plate making sure to do the same thing on the other side of the hutch.  Place the small garden ball on top of your candle holder and place this beside the plates, adding a spring signage directly beside it. Repeat the same process again on the other side to create a cohesive look.

For the bottom of the hutch put all the spring foliage in the garden pots and place on each shelf along with the stack of plates, bowls, and topiaries making sure your display is balanced.  Take a look at these photos below for examples:

Decor Tip:  The top of your hutch/cabinet can also be decorated for a more dramatic look.  See below
